Looking for PDU opportunities?

Looking for PDU opportunities? Grab your Educational PDUs here!

PMI Honolulu Hawaii Chapter is proud to offer our members three fabulous ways to earn educational PDUs.

1. Attend an event

a. Breakfast Roundtable Discussions, monthly.
b. General Member Meeting and Luncheon Presentation, monthly.
c. Professional Development Day (PDD), annually.
d. Annual Member Meeting and Dinner.

2. Watch a luncheon presentation or PDD session cablecast on Olelo cable television.

3. Watch Video-On-Demand on Olelo Net.

PMI certified professionals (PMP, PgMP, PfMP, PMI-PBA) maintain their certification by earning 60 PDUs over a 3-year cycle. If you’re one of them, you’ll find many opportunities to earn your PDU requirement right here on our chapter website! There are two basic types of PDUs: Education and Giving Back. For education, you’ll need a MINIMUM of 35 PDUs.

For every hour of educational video, you may claim 1 PDU. For details on claiming fractions of PDU’s and other details on requirements see the PMI.org website http://www.pmi.org/certifications/maintain.

Attend an event

Look for invitation emails (members get them automatically, but if you're not a member and want to get the emails, just sign up on the Home page) or check the Home page or the Events page for up coming events.

Watch Olelo cable televisiton

The Home and Events page contain articles announcing new cablecast and the re-cablecast schedules.  Most shows will premier on a Wednesday and repeat weekly on Sundays for several weeks so you have plenty of opportunity to catch a showing.

Watch Olelo Video-On-Demand

Busy people, have no fear.  Olelo provides you a way to watch what you want, when you want!  There are a couple of ways to find the videos. First, try this link: CLICK HERE.  If that didn't work, then go directly to the Olelo website.  http://www.olelo.org/.  Click on "What's On" and select Video-On-Demand.  In the search field type "PMI" and click Search.  The results provide a video link to watch right away, and two links to download audio only or video.

In partnership with Olelo Community Media, PMI Honolulu Hawaii Chapter captured live events for later broadcast on Olelo local channels. These cable broadcasts schedule about one video per month with repeated showings each week. See the home page on our website www.pmihnl.org for up-coming cablecast schedules. Olelo also provides Video-On-Demand on their website for watching the videos via the internet shortly after the cablecast.

If you attended the lunch or the PDD session you would already have claimed that PDU, but for those who missed the live event, the cable cast and subsequent Video On Demand internet links provide an opportunity to watch and listen to the presentation and earn PDUs.

exclamation628x550Warning! The Video-On-Demand is available for a limited time only.  Take advantage of this easy method to earn PDUs -- watch the videos before they are removed from the site.

Want to know another secret? By participating as a facilitator at a roundtable discussion or by presenting at a lunch or at the PDD, you will earn the OTHER type of PDU: Giving Back to the Profession.
