The PgMP® training validates work experience and knowledge of project risk management to manage multiple, related projects and navigate complex activities that span functions, organizations, regions or cultures, and to align the results of these projects with organizational goals.

You will learn how to:

  • Align and manage the program, strategically, to satisfy organizational objectives and priorities, through benefit realization  
  • Understand the program management life cycle's three domains, supporting processes and activities, to ensure benefits are realized, transitioned and sustained 
  • Understand how the program management life cycle supporting processes are similar to those in the PMBOK® Guide, though at a higher, more strategic level 
  • Structure, organize, plan and manage a program, using the program management life cycle, to satisfy the business needs through benefit delivery and sustainment 
  • Articulate the role of a program manager, based on the outcome of PMI’s role delineation study, documented in the five practice domains found in the Exam Content Outline 
  • Apply the tasks, knowledge, and skills of a program manager to the appropriate phase and supporting processes, per the Exam Content Outline 
  • Understand the examination blueprint and how to answer examination questions 
  • Study and prepare for the Exam
  • Ask questions to uncover Exam blueprint specifics to improve performance

James Haner

James is a committed and skilled PgMP® instructor.  His energy and broad range of knowledge and experience creates an exceptional learning experience for his students.

He is the author of three courses as well as a certified Program Management Professional (PgMP®), Project Management Professional (PMP®), Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP®), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP®), and Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP®) - 2017.  He is a contributing author of four books, including Program Management – A Life Cycle Approach.

Policy for No-Shows: The PMI Honolulu Chapter is held to a confirmed head count and must pay the vendor for such confirmations for course material and instruction.  If you have registered but do not attend, your registration fee is non-refundable. 
Policy for Cancellations: No cancellations or refunds permitted after 30 days prior to the event, including registration fees paid during that period.
Note:  Cancellation requests eligible for a refund may incur a fee up to the cost of the registration, per registrant, to cover administrative costs.
